Hello @abvillar, Thanks for your question!

Hey,@abvillar,

I would like to load a specific poll that I have created earlier into a Webex meeting. Can this be done ? The meeting organiser hasn’t added me as Slido collaborator. I would like to keep the poll ready and during the webex load it up. Is this possible ?

How does this feature work in Webex events? I was easily able to start it up in a regular meeting, but I don’t see how to do so in a webex event. Userlevel 4

Hi@shankar, When using Slido integration in Webex, Slido has to be administrated by the host of the meeting. You can add your poll to a meeting even though you’re not the host or owner of the event, but you’ll need to be added as a collaborator to that specific event. Then, during the meeting, it’ll be the host who will activate the poll. Alternatively, you can ask the host of the event to make you host - so that you can take care of both adding polls and activating them during your meeting.
Please let me know if my explanation makes sense or if you need more help with the setup! - Alex Userlevel 4

Hi@Rbougher, Unfortunately, Slido is currently not available in Webex Events. For now, for Webex Events, you can use Slido without the integration, by simply sharing your screen with Slido Wall and having your participants join with either their phones or in a browser by giving them the QR code or event code. Please keep in mind that there’s a limit of 5,000 participants per event to make sure that Slido is running smoothly. Let me know if you need any help with setting up! - Alex S

Getting added to a specific event as collaborator needs to be made simpler. Sometimes there are meeting updates/changes and I as a poll creator don’t know if my poll will work during the meeting. There should be a way for the host to pass Slido collaborator during the webex meeting. Changing the host is not practical ( host has a lot of other things to do ). We recently tried this in a customer event and even though we were finally able to run the poll, it was not an intuitive experience. B
Hi, If I am a host with a WebEx account with Slido integrated, but I need another presenter to administer the polls and Q&A, do they need to have a WebEx Event license to manage on the call ? In testing we found that they showed up as pending approval in the admin https://www.sli.do for that meeting assuming this was due to not have an active license ? Thanks ! Barb A
Hi@shankar, I’m sorry to hear about the troubles you experienced when it comes to collaborating on a Slido event in Webex. I totally agree with you that the current experience isn’t ideal and our team is aware of it. I can assure you that it’s on our roadmap to bring some improvements to this flow and make it more seamless in the future. A
Hi@Barb, At the moment, only people from your organization can manage Slido in Webex. You should invite them via the Share access feature in the Slido event which you’ll be using. I’m sorry for replying so late to your query. There have also been some changes to our product in the last month so I’m not sure if you’re still experiencing this behavior. Please feel free to share an update on the situation. Userlevel 2
Hello @abvillar and all, Just a quick update here - the collaborator can now administer Slido directly in Webex meeting! You can find more here:

Hi@Ally, Yes, you can still generate a QR code even if the event is in Webex. To get the code, you just need to go to www.slido.com and log in with your Webex credentials and open the event connected to your meeting. You can then or you can . Good luck with your townhall and let me know if you need anything else 🤗 - Meggie Userlevel 4
Hi @matt koupal, To use Slido in Webex, you need a paid Webex plan. You can find the pricing of Webex plans here. Hope this helps :) Let me know if you need anything else! - Meggie J
hi Meggie, I am trying to use Slido in Webex but I can’t find Slido in the applications in Webex. I am using a free account. Can I use Slido in Webex using a Webex free account? C
Hey@jgso , Slido is only available for Paid Webex Plans to be able to use it in the Webex Meetings/Webinars. You can create a free Slido account with your Webex login credentials but they will not synch to each other even if you pay for a Slido account. Let us know if you have any other questions! -Carly A
I have created a survey that consists of 5 separate polls. When I present the polls in Webex, all 5 present at the same time. Is there a way to present 1 poll at a time and then move to the next one? |
