The PRO-1 is a terrific first step into the world of guitar featuring all of the PRO Collection's breakthrough features. Epiphone, one of the world’s oldest and most respected guitar makers, has just made playing and learning guitar easy for everyone.

Creating a truly easy-to-play guitar wasn’t easy. Epiphone takes making a great guitar seriously, no matter what the player’s level. So Epiphone rethought the guitar from top to bottom to make an instrument that anyone can play right away. The result is a truly “PRO” guitar that’s easy to play, easy to own, and most importantly, delivers the full, vibrant sound that Epiphone is known for. The PRO-1 acoustic guitar is the result of exhaustive analysis, numerous technological innovations, and suggestions from a “who’s who” of professional players. And now it’s time to play!

The PRO-1 Ultra acoustic/electric guitar has all of the PRO-1 Collection’s innovative easy-to-play features:

So I finally got to play an Epiphone PRO-1. If you aren't familiar with this guitar, it's Epiphone's attempt to provide a true entry level acoustic with the best possible factory setup. It comes stock with ultra light strings and higher quality tuners than what's common on a $100 guitar. It seems Epiphone took note of Zager's strategy of offering ultra-light gauge setups at the factory on inexpensive guitars and decided to do something similar.

After spending about 20 minutes with a PRO-1 ($120 model) I have to say I am very impressed. This is the guitar that instructors have been waiting for to recommend to all those parents who say "I only have $100 to spend". I found it extremely easy to play all the way up the neck. Easier to bar chord on the 6th fret than most bargain electric guitars in the showroom. Epiphone really has tried to deliver on their promise.... The tone is a bit better than what you would expect from a guitar in this price range. After playing the PRO-1 I tried an Epiphone AJ220s ($200 solid top) and also an Epiphone EJ160E ($399). While I think all of these instruments are have something to be desired in the tone department, I would take the PRO-1 over the other two models. It's really amazing what they pulled off for the price. The PRO-1 is the acoustic I wish I had to learn on years ago.

Yeah, I played one several weeks ago and thought the same thing. Probably a very good choice for new players.

Epiphone pro 1 acoustic guitar review năm 2024

Epiphone is doing good things these days. I played a new natural Epi PR5 recently. It played and looked very well.

Are Epiphone acoustic guitars good for beginners?

As you've found out today, Epiphone guitars are excellent choices for a number of players. Amongst them are beginners, who are well served with Epiphone's electric and acoustic models.

Are Epiphone guitars made in China?

In 2004, Gibson opened a factory in Qingdao, China, which manufactures Epiphone guitars. With few exceptions, Epiphones are now built only in the Qingdao factory. Also in 2004, Epiphone introduced a series of acoustic guitars named Masterbilt, after a line of guitars of the 1930s, which are built in the same factory.

What is Epiphone E1?

Epiphone presents the new Les Paul™ Studio E1, an incredible introduction to the world's greatest electric guitar that is affordable for everyone.

Does Gibson own Epiphone?

Luckily, Epiphone make more budget versions of these guitars. In 1957, the company that owned Gibson bought out Epiphone and since then, they've been sister companies. Other brands may make copies of the Les Paul, SG, 335 etc but Gibson and Epiphone are the only two brands that can really lay claim to these guitars.
