Psychology Workshop topics

CAPS staff offer a wide variety of workshops on timely phychodeducational topics both at our location or at yours. The workshops are designed to support and enhance the academic, professional and personal goals of students, staff and faculty. Some of the popular topics in the past have included stress management, relationship issues, test anxiety reduction, eating concerns and how to help a friend. We are also available for any student group to facilitate conflict management, leadership skill building, and diversity training. All presentations are free of charge to members of the Penn community. Outreach services also include a liaison system, consultaiton services and response to campus crises. Our liaison system enables us to develop close partnerships with faculty and staff across campus. We also provide trainings to faculty/stafff on timely psychoeducational topic.

The mind map below lists 22 positive psychological factors that affect academic performace.  Each factor is backed up by scientific findings.  Blended Grok-Gauge-Grow-Track workshops are also being developed by FlourishWell4Life to address each of these factors.  The target groups of these workshops include both teachers/lectures/academic support staff and students at schools and universities.  The BeWell Mentor Wellness project at Stellenbosch University already utilized the e-workshop versions on wellness, and, grit and a growth mindset during 2015. Face-to-face workshops are also already been conducted on both these topics.

Clayton State University Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides workshops and presentations to student groups and classes on a wide variety of topics. In addition to presenting on these topics, we can provide in-class career and personality assessment and interpretation, and can be a part of a panel discussion dealing with these and related topics.
