The order of this 2023 NFL Mock Draft is often determined by the NFL Power Rankings, but for this update, it's determined by the projected record in the NFL Season Previews for 2022.

The Texans passed on all the quarterbacks in the 2022 NFL Draft. No one blamed them for doing that, but they won't be able to repeat that strategy this upcoming April.
Bryce Young has size issues - he's 5-11 - but he has drawn comparisons to Kyler Murray.

Carolina Panthers: C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State
The Panthers thought they fixed their dilemma by trading for Baker Mayfield, but that deal backfired. Mayfield has been terrible, so Carolina will search for a franchise quarterback.
C.J. Stroud completed 71 percent of his passes this past season. He's a lethal passer and can run if he needs to with his 4.65 speed.
Pick change: previously Will Levis, QB
The Bears have a miserable offensive line, so Justin Fields doesn't stand a chance when battling teams with elite pass rushes. The front office must do something about this. However, at No. 3 overall, they should pick the best player available, and it's not like they don't need a pass rush.
Will Anderson has ridiculous speed and athleticism. He's been a force in Alabama's defense.
Pick change: previously Peter Skoronski, OT/G
The Raiders may have had enough with Derek Carr, but they could also continue to build around him. It'll be interesting to see what Mark Davis does this offseason. In this scenario, he's bolstering his horrible pass rush.
Jalen Carter has shown flashes of huge upside.
Pick change: previously C.J. Stroud, QB
Seattle Seahawks: Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU
Receiver obviously isn't a huge need for the Seahawks, but 2023 looks like Tyler Lockett's final year with the Seahawks unless he signs a new deal. Plus, Seattle is picking the best player available.
Scouts are smitten with Quentin Johnston, who has drawn comparisons to Julio Jones.
The Lions must improve their defense, but they won't be able to resist adding a franchise quarterback to replace Jared Goff. They would've had interest in Baker Mayfield had he hit the open market, so they're definitely looking to find a quarterback upgrade.
Will Levis has a big arm and could become a hot prospect in 2023.
Pick change: previously Joey Porter Jr., CB
The Texans need a second receiver across from Brandin Cooks in the near term, and a different No. 1 wideout for the long haul.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba has incredible speed and athleticism. He had a huge 2021 campaign, which included a terrific Rose Bowl performance.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State
The Steelers are so desperate for cornerback help that they traded for William Jackson. I have doubts about him panning out, so here's a better solution.
The son of the former Steeler great is a 6-2 cornerback with high potential.
Pick change: previously Antonio Johnson, CB/S
The Jaguars have issues at cornerback, which is why they're 32nd against the pass at this point during the season. They'll have interest in one of the top corners in the 2023 NFL Draft class.
Antonio Johnson is a huge 6-3 cornerback who performed at a high level this past season.
Pick change: previously Jalen Carter, DT
Philadelphia Eagles: Myles Murphy, DE/DT, Clemson
Brandon Graham won't be around much longer, so the Eagles will need an edge rusher for the future.
Myles Murphy has immense potential as a 3-4 defensive end in the NFL, but can also be a 4-3 edge.
Pick change: previously Will Anderson, DE
James Conner is as pedestrian as they come as far as starting running backs are concerned. Kyler Murray could really benefit from a big upgrade in the backfield.
Bijan Robinson is going to be another running back chosen early in the draft. All of his attributes are at sky-high levels.
Green Bay Packers: Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU
The Packers lost Davante Adams, so they may spend consecutive early-round picks on receivers.
Kayshon Boutte has gotten rave reviews for his speed and athleticism, though the production hasn't quite lived up to his talent just yet.
Detroit Lions: Cam Smith, CB, South Carolina
The Lions must address their secondary if they ever want to stop the pass.
Cam Smith is a fast cornerback with long arms.
Pick change: previously Myles Murphy, DE
The Colts haven't been able to keep their quarterbacks upright, so they need to finally obtain a replacement for Anthony Castonzo.
Peter Skoronski is an athletic tackle who has kept his quarterback clean. He can play center as well.
Pick change: previously Jaelyn Duncan, OT
Atlanta Falcons: Jared Verse, DE/OLB, Florida State
The Falcons, for the second year in a row, have the league-worst pressure rate. They desperately need players to generate heat on opposing quarterbacks.
Jared Verse has nice athleticism and a steady motor.
It's time for the Chargers to give up on Jerry Tillery, who continues to struggle.
Gervon Dexter is a lengthy defensive lineman with plus quickness and strength.
