Server mods – these mods will automatically be enabled on any server you join, whether you have them installed or not. Client mods – whoever has them enabled will see the changes, and whoever doesn't will not, regardless of what server they’re on and whether the server has the mod or not. 1. Combined status Starts at 3:50. This mod expands the HUD to show the player's stats and various information about the world, such as temperature, season, and moon phase. Get the mod here. 2. Craft potStarts at 5:23. This mod helps you cook whatever your heart desires by displaying the exact recipe. It adds an intuitive cooking assistance interface to the crock pot. Let’s be real for a sec, who has the will to go through the proper in-game cookbook each time? If you’ve ever felt like you need a Ph.D. degree to remember all the recipes on top of all the crafting needed, then this is the mod for you! Your days of hungrily waiting for an exciting meal from the crock pot, only to disappointingly get Wet Goop in the end, are over! Get the mod here. 3. Extra equip slotsStarts at 17:58. This mod allows you to equip a backpack and an amulet slot without having to unequip your body armor/clothing. Get the mod here. 4. Global positionsStarts at 3:54. This mod allows you to hover over a player’s icon on the map and see their name and location. There are also player location indicators to the side of the screen, and the same for campfires or firepits fueled by charcoal. An essential mod for co-op play. Get the mod here. 5. Too Many Items PlusStarts at 7:04. This mod allows you to spawn any item you want in your game. It also adds more powerful features. Get the mod here. 6. Geometric PlacementStarts at 0:20s. This mod snaps objects to a grid when placing, and it also displays a build grid around it (unless you hold down ctrl). If you like things neat and orderly, but the placement system in this game drives you crazy, you will enjoy this! Get the mod here. 7. Insight (Show Me+)Starts at 0:44s. This mod is the upgraded version of the ‘Show me’ mod. If you’re the type of player who likes to know everything about everything, this is something you will surely appreciate. Get the mod here. 8. Gesture WheelStarts at 0:40s. This mod adds a wheel selection interface for emotes, making it easier to display emotes instead of typing them in. The default toggle key is G, and holding this button down will bring up the gesture wheel. This will allow you to move your mouse in the direction of the emote you want to choose. When the toggle key is released, your character will play the emote you picked. A truly fun way to add player interactions inside the game, and as easy as pressing G. Get the mod here. 9. Status AnnouncementsStarts at 1:20. This mod allows players to click parts of the HUD to announce their status, such as what items are needed for the base, how many of a certain item the player has in their inventory, or alerting allies about being wounded. Each character has their own quotes, and custom characters can set up their own quotes. Get the mod here. 10. Snapping tillsStarts at 10:48. This mod helps you align plows to the grid. If you have difficulty with the updated gardening system, specifically when tilling plots, this is the mod for you. Get the mod here. 11. Increased stack sizeStarts at 3:30. This mod increases the amount of the stacks in your game, allowing you to stack up to 99 items (recommended value). Carrying around packs of 20 rocks or other stackable items at a time can easily get frustrating while they are occupying numerous inventory slots. Get the mod here. 12. No thermal stone durabilityStarts at 3:35. This mod is self-explanatory. If crafting many new thermal stones each winter and summer makes you wish for something simpler, it will be a game-changer during the difficult seasons. Get the mod here. 13. Display food valuesStarts at 2:45 This mod displays the hunger, health, and sanity values (including rotting) for food and healing items. It will work for items in inventory, backpacks, or containers. It is a life-saver for understanding how much items benefit you, and their drawbacks, to efficiently use resources to fill up needs. Get the mod here. 14. Health infoStarts at 3:15. This mod shows the exact health of creatures on mouse-over or controller auto-target. If you’ve ever dropped a brick in a close fight with Bearger or any of the other giants, you will never need to worry about that again. Get the mod here. 15. ActionQueue RebornStarts at 0:35s. This mod allows you to click on entities as you normally would to add them to the action queue. So, if you’ve ever found it frustrating to click each grass tuft, berry bush, or log to pick them up, this will simplify the way you interact with the world when collecting resources. It’s a massive time-saver, though it arguably makes the game less challenging. Get the mod here. Honorable mention Minimap HUDStarts at 5:20. This mod is as basic as it gets. It adds a fully functional mini-map interface to your game so you don’t have to keep going into map mode to know where you’re going. It can be zoomed using the zoom map binds (defaulted to the mouse-wheel) and it can be panned by clicking and dragging.
