Apparently it used to exist, but Google removed it. This tells me something important about Google. Apparently, through researching the problem, I've found that Microsoft has included the ability to stop videos from auto-playing in their Edge browser. Come on, Google, don't be worse than Microsoft. You're better than that. Give us that option back. Is Google in league with the ISPs so that we end up burning data for no good reason? No wonder ad blockers are so popular. I use YouTube to listen to music and I thought it make sense to use Chrome. If I find an interesting track, I would just leave the Chrome tab open for a week or so to be able to listen to that track again without having to search for it. However when I reload Chrome next day, ALL the tabs I have left open start playing at the sme time and I have to clip through tabs furiously to shut them up before people around me start complaining. I cant believe that Google have made it impossible to stop this. MORAL - don't use Chrome to watch YouTube! - use Firefox or Safari instead. I can't stand the autoplay of videos and how that cripples my CPU and slows my page rendering time. I'd prefer to use Chrome but so long as this feature does not exist I'm going to have to use another browser.
