.. so, i took it out, and, in a fit of desperation to fix this 910, i took a look inside, and found that this 1990 model used the SAME transport assembly!! a different model number on the pickup, and a couple/three of the plug connectors a different color, but otherwise EXACTLY the same!!!! so, i swapped them out, .... Show A good fix, and great learning experience. Yup, many of those transports were standard, and only the circuitry was different. Kudos!

Kudos! thank you, scorp. this reassures me that i'll have no problem at all swapping out transports when the time come for that cherry DCD-1500 of mine. in the future, i will be working on stocking up on as many spare DCD- 1500s,1100s and possibly 1000s so that i can obtain as many copies of the FG-500 transport unit as i possibly can, enabling me to very likely be, many years from now, the only person on the planet keeping a DENON DCD-1500 alive as long as i intend to try to...
