All dates are subject to change. I did not see a link to the 2023 Order Guide but it appears to be out. There is this article from Ford Authority: 2023 Ford Super Duty Production Schedule Revealed (fordauthority.com) I hope by putting it all in one place, everyone can read the information and be more clear as to what is happening. Not getting into the good and bad of it. Not looking for drama. Just trying to be helpful. Or someone at BOF jumped the gun when they stated it was moved to Nov, either way I'll believe it when I see it 10-26-2022, 10:12 AMJoin Date: Nov 2020 Location: Michigan Posts: 1,756 It doesn't matter one it opens..... they will close within 30 minutes. Make sure you have a pre-order (think disney fast pass).....If your dealership has a small allotment then go somewhere else if you don't get a pre-order. My dealer said 30 minutes........Just remember that. 10-26-2022, 10:24 AMJoin Date: Jan 2019 Location: Indiana Posts: 323 Job 2 not starting until Spring 23...what an absolute joke. Clearly. Just giving credit where credit is due. When I read it on BOF they stated that it had not been verified but something about the source (Ford Authority) often being accurate. 10-26-2022, 01:32 PMJoin Date: Mar 2004 Location: CA Posts: 1,761 So, the most popular configurations will all be job 2.....nice 10-26-2022, 06:21 PMJoin Date: May 2022 Location: Everywhere and nowhere Posts: 896 How are they going to balance the 5% of total trucks being F450 but not allowing higher trims to be until Job 2. Sounds like the XL, XLT & Lariat guys will be buying all the F450s that get produced if the 5% stands true. Along with the 5% of trucks being Tremors as well. There are about 10 times that many people who want a Tremor or F450. In other models, there have been constraints on trims, engines (think electric or hybrid), etc. This is no different. The usual hidden selection process for which vehicles get built happens. So when they are scheduling, they will select 5% of that weeks builds with the F450 (or Tremor etc) taking into account dealer priority, date of order, available parts. They do this now in selecting vehicles for production. We just don't see it. From what I can see, is that they are allowing higher trim level trucks to be ordered. Then they put them in suspension (code 99). Until J2, they can make parts that are in short supply and build up supply. During J1, they can build more trucks as they do not require those parts that are in short supply. I am sure the Fleet customers will be happy after the long wait they had when they made retail customers happy when they had priority. For the retail customer, I believe that the sweet spot this year is the Lariat Ultimate. While some options are unavailable until J2, most are available. This gives you longer time to try to get selected for production. This is going to be a shorter build year (2023 model year). And there is a high demand. This appears to be a new way FORD is trying to build more vehicles by concentrating on lower trim levels. We shall see if it works. In my opinion, I would order now in case the order banks close early. I would order early to have an earlier date. I would order a Lariat Ultimate to have a longer period to get scheduled for production. And would not order J2 only options. Saw the order guide in a thread.

Minimal high-tech parts and they can just crank em out. 10-26-2022, 11:12 PMJoin Date: Aug 2008 Posts: 648 X2, and then some. My local muni has had 12 f450s on order for over a year now and can't find replacement trucks they can afford, so road maintainence is not going to get done. This can't be contained to just my area either. How many contractors and government orgs are getting wrecked right now from lack of vehicles they can purchase? 10-26-2022, 11:31 PMMore Turbo Thread Starter Join Date: Feb 2017 Posts: 557 Quote: Originally Posted by tex98alg Why even have a Job 1? While I understand that you want it your way, and in the speed you want it, FORD has different issues. In this time where there is chip shortages, non-chip shortages and logistic issues, they are trying to find a way to build more vehicles. One way to do that is to build them more efficiently. If you can only get parts to assemble X number of high end trucks, doesn't it make more sense to build them together? And if you can't get enough parts for the high end trucks, if you build more lower end trucks by building them together with parts you do have, and in the end you build more trucks, does not that make more sense. Especially when you are a profit driven organization? As for "XL Fleet Orders", did you not read that you can order up to and including a Lariat Ultimate with some limitations of options. And for those that have not been able to order in 2 years, I am sorry for your loss but I am happy with my 5 year old SD. I am not saying that FORD is doing things perfectly. Not by a large measure. But to come here and vent that FORD is not doing things to your satisfaction, will not change things. I am much more concerned with helping someone do the right things in order to place an order, and ultimately receive their order. When can you order a 2023 Super Duty? Some sources say that the 2023 Ford Super Duty order banks are opening on October 17th, 2022. The production date is set for January 2023 in Kentucky and February 2023 in Ohio, but this could change due to current supply chain issues.
When can you order a 2023 f250 Super Duty? Now, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority that 2023 Ford Super Duty order banks will open up earlier than expected, after all – on October 27th.
Is Ford changing the 2023 Super Duty? The 2023 Ford Super Duty is redesigned with fresh styling elements, updated powertrains, and new technology. While the F-250, F-350, and F-450 are still primarily heavy-duty workhorses, Ford enhances them with features aimed at taking the trucks to another level of capability and functionality.
Is Ford stopping Super Duty Orders? The 2022 Super Duty joins other Fords including the Mustang Mach-E, Maverick, Bronco, and F-150 Lightning as vehicles that are no longer available to be ordered by customers for the 2022 model year. Consumers may be able to find a few 2022 Super Duty models on sale at dealers, but it's unlikely.
