NEW YORK CITY — Just in time for summer, the Education Department released the upcoming calendar for New York City public schools.

Classes will resume on Sept. 8 and includes news policies for dealing with severe weather and November's Election Day, during which no school will be held.

"We are looking forward to the 2022-23 school year," the Department of Education said in a press release. "And we will be sharing exciting updates regarding programming in the months to come."

Parents — and the city's extremely well-organized students — can find the calendar here, and below.

The school year will includes 181 days in session, including four staff development days during which students will not be in attendance.

New Yorkers should note "snow days” will include remote learning (apologies, sled owners) and Parent-Teacher Conference dates might be different than those listed on the calendar.
