What is Miss America, really?

The public perception of Miss America is often that it’s a one-night telecast, but in reality it’s so much more. This unique program is a year-round opportunity for women to earn scholarships, grow their networks, learn valuable life and career skills, and make a difference in their communities. For over 100 years, we have been committed to empowering the advocates and leaders of tomorrow, and we’re just getting started. I had to find a way to pay for myself to go to school and so I entered this competition and this organization and it became much more than just the scholarship money for me, it was also about the mentorship, leadership and sisterhood you find in this program.

I want to use my platform to promote inclusion, open-mindedness, and empathy, especially because of the world that we're in today.

Miss America can be a scientist and a scientist can be Miss America.

More than a competition.

The Miss America Competition you see on TV is just one component of the year-round program. 2023 National Teen Competition announced!

The Miss America Organization is thrilled to announce the Hyatt Regency Dallas as the host for the 2023 Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Competition!
