The percentage of candidates passing from one stage of the hiring process to another is referred to as the yield ratio. Generally, it is used to measure how many candidates were hired from the total number of applicants

How to calculate the yield ratio?

The formula for yield ratio is 

Yield Ratio = Total number of candidates selected from # stage/number of candidates that passed

The ATS system can help in collecting the data which you can use to find the results as per the requirements. 

For example, if 100 people applied for a post and 15 of them made it to the final stage. Then your calculation would look like this, 

(15/100) x 100 % = 15

If we take, for example, posting a job advert to a job board of your choice, here’s how the numbers could look like. During 1 month 1000 visitors clicked on a link to the job, and 150 of them filled the application form and applied. From 150, 30 were invited to an interview, which gives us the following formula:

 Yield radio: (30 / 150) x 100% = 20%

This formula would also allow you to measure visitor to lead or lead to hiring ratios.

Yield ratio needs to be tested continuously to calibrate it for each specific job, but in the end, it allows you to find the best source of candidates for each of your job openings.
