Its a nice and tidy body to carry around, but I needed a small lens to complement it, and I specifically wanted a EF/EF-S that could use on my DSLR. I got the new 50mm 1.8 STM based on the good reviews, and I've been astonished by the quality and versatility. The fixed focal length has also forced me to take photos differently and think more about the subject rather than perfect framing, and the f1.8 aperture is completely bonkers for someone who used to consider f2.8 as pretty 'fast'. The overall quality of the images is astonishing, even compared to a Canon 24-105 f4 L that I generally prefer on larger bodies. I couldn't recommend this lens highly enough, and everyone with a Canon M/M1/M3 should definitely invest in one for <£100 new.
