Miss America 2023 will be the 95th edition of the Miss America pageant, though will be performed at the Mohegan Sun late in 2022. Emma Broyles of Alaska will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Emma Broyles of Alaska was crowned Miss America 2022 at the end of the event finale last year. Broyles is Alaska's first Miss America title in the history of the pageant and she is the third Asian American to win the Miss America title following Angela Perez Baraquio in 2001 and Nina Davuluri in 2014. She is also the first of Korean descent to win the Miss America title.

The public perception of Miss America is often that it’s a one-night telecast, but in reality it’s so much more. This unique program is a year-round opportunity for women to earn scholarships, grow their networks, learn valuable life and career skills, and make a difference in their communities. For over 100 years, we have been committed to empowering the advocates and leaders of tomorrow, and we’re just getting started. I had to find a way to pay for myself to go to school and so I entered this competition and this organization and it became much more than just the scholarship money for me, it was also about the mentorship, leadership and sisterhood you find in this program.
I want to use my platform to promote inclusion, open-mindedness, and empathy, especially because of the world that we're in today.
Miss America can be a scientist and a scientist can be Miss America.
