I’m always hesitant to purchase things like this online, only because the reviews show them to be a hit or miss. But after chancing $22, I can say that I’m satisfied with this planner. I’m a new college student and I’ve been getting academic planners since I started high school and I can tell you that this one by far has been my favorite. It came in a box which was cool, made it more exciting to open. It feels genuine, not cheap or flimsy. It has two strings going down the middle as bookmarkers, a pen/pencil holder on the spine, and a stretchy band that holds the book together on the back. There’s enough space to write everything I need to get done, which I enjoy. The only modification I would make would be if they came with plastic tabs instead of sticker tabs, as you have to fold the sticker around the page to create the tab (see photo above). This just makes it harder to open up but I just have one of the string bookmarks on each new week which makes up for it. Otherwise, a solid 10/10, would recommend, purchase from me.

Personally, I like this particular planner. It's a great size; big enough for plenty of notes, small enough to easily carry from meeting-to-meeting. The covers are thick and hard, but the spine is a different, highly flexible yet durable material, so there's no "stiffness" when opening from Day 1. It also has a flexible band on the spine for pens, two bookmark ribbons (one for the day, one for the plentiful note pages in back). And another closure band. Really, it's all good, and may only be insufficient if you take copious notes all day every day.

Perhaps the only downside in my opinion is that the price often starts high. I am not sure it's worth something approaching $25, but I keep an eye on it months before my current one will "run out" and can usually snag one well under $15. At those prices it's a no-brainer and a steal.

All around, a wonderful, beautiful, STRAIGHTFORWARD, daily planner.

I’m a person that struggles to keep track of my day to day life. I had adhd and after suffering a TBI four years ago, I still can get a little lost and overwhelmed in the personal organizational department. I’ve tried using my phone, I’ve tried setting reminders, I’ve tried calendars, writing on the back of my hand, sticky notes, everything. Then enter the personal planner. It was a godsend to be able to physically write things down and have a concrete, all in one system for keeping track of dates and appointments, bills, weekly work schedules and due dates, the whole nine yards.

Now, as to why THIS daily planner is better than others. Well, I’ve tried a few. I used the Panda Planner and I’ve tried Bullet Journaling. Neither worked for me. The Panda Planner seems like a good idea but it’s overwhelming... it’s like having a nagging personal life coach on every page, giving you more assignments to do during your already busy day! Write down goals for the month, goals for the week, goals for the DAY?! Come on, ain’t nobody got time fo’ that! Then there was the more free and loose style of bullet journaling. (Insert eye roll.) Let’s just day, if I had the organizational skills to keep track of my life on BLANK pages and the perseverance to keep up with a system like that completely of my own making, I probably wouldn’t need a planner in the first place. (Maybe I just don’t get it, but when someone suggested I walk a YouTube tutorial about HOW to Bullet Journal I knew I was totally over the system. I’m not trying to be the Martha Stewart of personal organizers, here, ladies and gents! I just want to remember that I have a doctors appointment without having to look at a calendar the day of and whisper some sort of expletive. Is that too much to ask?)

Enter this beauty.

It’s simple. It’s clean. And it’s not loaded down with so many bells and whistle that you get distracted every time you open it. HEAR THAT FOLKS? SIMPLE. I love it. You have your months, followed by an open spread page for each week and then a nice chunk of empty note pages at the back and that’s it. It’s exactly what you want in a daily planner. Pages to plan your day... duh! (I thinks there’s also the usual planet stuff like a contact/addresses page or an “important dates” page in the front and I think I saw a map in the back, but do people actually use those? I haven’t kept contacts in an address book since I was in middle school.) There’s no extra nonsense asking me about my daily goals, there’s no weird sections filled with affirmations or quotes from dead presidents, it’s just a good old, efficient simplistically beautiful planner. (And while the name does say “academic,” there’s no real academic or school feel to it. No “subject” breakdown as I’ve seen in some school planners, or anything like that. It very easily could be used to keep track of school work and course loads, due dates, etc, but just As easily can be used for anyone else that just needs a bit more space than a monthly calendar to help them keep track of their daily life.)

Now, a few more details that seem to be covered in a lot of reviews:

Pages/paper: Totally acceptable. I can write, scribble, cross stuff out, and go to town with pens and permeant markers and the pages hold up like a dream! There is some ghosting on the other side with heavier inks, but not enough to bother me... I only care if there is true bleed through or when scribbles (like a scratch out scribble) pushes through to the other side.

Build: Sturdy. Fancy leather cover, one of those nice stretchy straps to keep it closed when you toss it in your bag. It’s got a nice little pocket in the back where I keep a few sticky notes and the pocket has held up wonderfully too! And this baby has been carried around in my big bag-lady bag for the past six months now with who knows what else and it still looks as fresh as the day I got it. No real scratches, corners are still good, strap it still in place with daily use. It’s tough.

Stickers: Oh yeah! It even comes with stickers and who doesn’t love a little bit of sticker fun every now and again! (Despite other reviews, I didn’t have any trouble with the stickers. I just put them a bit more towards the inside so the tab only popped over the edge of the page by a sliver.)

CONS: Now... there’s not much about this planner that I don’t like. But I have to be honest, there is one small thing that’s a minor inconvenience. There’s a small elastic band across the binding so that you can slip a pen in there and carry it with you. Which is great and actually something I specifically searched for when I was looking for a planner because I hate clipping pens to the outside as they always get lost in my bag and I hate keeping them in the planner because it bends the book. BUT this strap here is a little too tight (or maybe it’s the material?) to allow any sort of pen with a textured or rubberized grip to go through. I can slip a sharpie through that’s twice as thick without issue, but any pen that has that non-slip texture to it will NOT slip into that elastic band, even when I went and bought the thinnest pen I could find! Which bums me out a little because pretty much all my favorite pens have that texture these days. Oh well, I guess.
Like I said... minor thing, but it’s the reason I gave it four stars instead of five. If I can’t fit a pen in there, what’s the point? (SEE PHOTOS for this comparison.)

Regardless. Good planner. Would recommend.

I bought the previous year planner like this and liked it so much that I bought another one this year. I used the last one every day for a year, opening, closing, "planning", tossing in a bag... It holds up to normal abuse and still looks pretty new. I like how thick the pages are, how many notes pages there are in the back. It has a pen/pencil holder on the spine that works great. The elastic band keeps it closed for you as well. I like having two of the ribbon book marks to aid in either where you are with notes and calendar or for more than one month (what I do). If you prefer writing down your appointments/plans/due dates instead of having them on your phone then don't hesitate. It looks good and is very functional.

I have gotten used to a hard-bound planner that can travel with me and I like having yhe monthly overview page as well as the space for details and notes on the weekly pages. This one is not cutesy, has an attractive, slightly suede-like gray cover with the date stamped on it.

This planner is great. I has an area to attach your pen/pencil, has a small folder in the back, and has 2 strings to help you identify where you are currently writing like a book mark. I love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality diary with all the right pages !

Amazing item !!!!
Best diary I have bought in years.
First off came super quick and well packaged.
When it arrived I opened the packet to find a stylish little box detailing “I’m a gift” inscribed on the box. Very good is buying as a present for someone. Which I will be doing now. !
Wrapped in cellophane also for extra cleanliness and pizazz.

When unwrapped and out of box. The quality of the outside is extra special. The colour is gorgeous and stylish and the quality amazing.
I love the weekly and monthly planner elements of this diary.
Gives me a monthly overview but also allows me more space for details.
Had plants of contacts sections. And also 80 pages of lined paper for essentials notes lists or wish lists for Santa.

The back of the diary contains a little paper pocket. Wouldn’t fit the crown heels inside but would give lots of space for tickets and receipts throughout the month/year.

Included as a special Bonus inside the diary is a set of sticker tabs which allow you to easily find the relevant month at a quick glance and not waste time.
Super idea. Thanks.

Love this and would absolutely be buying more as gifts.
Quality from start to finish.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mid-level quality

The diary/organiser is a nice size, and comes in a gift box but I do have some issues with it. As soon as you open the box, a plasticky smell attacks your nasal passages which hasn't quite faded yet but I assume it would; the dates in the organiser are for an American market not UK which isn't a deal breaker but isn't great and the worst issue of all- the paper actually isn't great quality so your pens will ghost through the pages. Overall it's not a bad purchase, but I expected more for what I paid for it.
