We believe that "Kiehl's - Ultra Light Daily UV Defense Aqua Gel SPF 50 PA++++" can provide reliable sun protection based on the ingredients listed. It can protect from both UVA and UVB rays. This is great news because not all sunscreens with SPF ratings give UVA protection. (UVA rays do not cause sunburn, but still damage our skin and lead to early aging).

This product should also be hydrating enough to use without an additional moisturizer during the day. Like all broad-spectrum sunscreens, this product has an anti-aging benefit.

Sunscreen filters

This is a "mixed" sunscreen in the sense that it uses both mineral and organic (so-called "chemical") sun filters. Here are the organic filters this product uses: tinosorb s, uvinul a plus, mexoryl xl and uvinul t. As for the mineral filters, this sunscreen uses titanium dioxide.

Irritation risk

In my personal opinion, I think this is one of the best sunscreen I have used. I don't like using sunscreen because of the tacky, greasy feeling and look it gives but this is a game changer. It applies and sinks so well into the skin and doesn't leave the face greasy or doesn't have the white tone that usual sunscreens have. The product is easily applied on the skin.

I have oily skin so I was a bit concerned about using it but it didn't add any extra oil.
