The PlayStation 4 model and serial numbers can be found on the PS4's original packaging and the back of the PS4 system. It is recommended that you have these numbers to hand when contacting PlayStation Support. Choose the type of PS4 system that you have from the list below: PS4 models CUH-10xx, CUH-11xx and CUH-12xxThe serial number is comprised of 17numbers and is located on the back of the system, towards the bottom left of the chassis. Not really sure what you mean by first/second wave, nor why you want to know anyway (since there haven't been any major hardware revisions yet). There's a little bit of info here on this to compare to the sticker on the back of your PS4. The only revision so far was a change in the WiFi antenna. How can you tell how old your PS4 is?Oh, and it's on the bottom of the console. It will say where and when it was manufactured.
