Issue:
Autodesk: When Installing ” An error occurred while preparing the installation. Please exit and start the install again.”
Cause:
- Anti-Virus, Firewall, Proxy preventing ODIS from contacting the Internet.
- Poor Internet connection.
- Corrupted ODIS.
- Bad download.
Solution:
Possible solutions
- Disable Anti-Virus and Firewall before installing.
- Install updated licensing service.

- Remove bad ODIS.
- Find C:\program files\Autodesk\AdODIS\V1.
- Run removeODIS.exe. (This should be done as an administrator)
- Download Software and install using an offline method. (Browser Download, Download Now)

- Use command line code to disable ODIS update during install.
- Using run command in Windows Type “cmd” on the Start Windows button.
- Open the Command Prompt (cmd) as Administrator.
- Type a command cd C:\Autodesk\<Folder you are installing from>\ and press Enter:
Example (cd C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD_2022_English_Win_64bit_dlm\)
- Type the command below and press Enter.
- Setup.exe --noupdate.
If these options do not work. Look at the log file in the Temp folder and see if you can find where the software is failing.

- Errore 4005 durante l’installazione di AutoCAD 2023 e AutoCAD LT 2023 in ITALIANO
Purtroppo è stato reso noto un problema durante l'installazione di AutoCAD 2023 e AutoCAD LT 2023 in lingua italiana. L'installazione non termina e compare una finestra di errore che blocca l'installazione.
Al momento l'unica temporanea soluzione al problema è l'installazione del software in lingua inglese e successivamente l'installazione del Language Pack in lingua italiana.
In attesa della soluzione al problema viene chiesto ai clienti ai quali si verifica il problema di eseguire il precedente workaround.

Solución:
- Si AdODIS está instalado, desinstálelo (Ejecute como administrador RemoveODIS.exe C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AdODIS\V1)
- Descargue e instale la última versión de AdODIS
- Vuelva a ejecutar el instalador de la aplicación
Autocad LT 2023 install error 4005 | If you encounter this problem, try the following steps. As a last resort, you can try to format your computer.
The reason for this problem may be:
- Installing program to an external hard drive.
- Installing program on unsupported hardware or environment.
- Corrupted download package.
- Outdated or corrupted Autodesk On-Demand Install Service (ODIS) component.
The solution to this problem can be:
Uninstall and re-install the Autodesk On-Demand Install Service (ODIS) component manually
- Go to the Windows Services.
- Press the Win + R keys on your keyboard.
- Type “services.msc” in the Run window and hit Enter or press OK.
- Stop the service “Autodesk Access Service Host”.
- Go to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AdODIS\V1.
- Launch “RemoveODIS.exe” as admin (right click > run as administrator), if it exists. Otherwise remove manually all the content in the folder.
- Download and install the latest version of the Autodesk On-Demand Install Service (ODIS).
- Run again the Autodesk product install.
