The 2023 Audi Q7 receives several detail changes to enhance its appeal. The base four-cylinder engine gains 13 horsepower, and a leatherette-wrapped dashboard becomes standard. Most models also adopt leatherette trim on the console and armrest as well as signature LED headlights. The line-topping Prestige trim now includes an automated parking system. Later this year, the high-performance SQ7 variant will be available with 22-inch wheels, matched with summer performance tires.

Engine Choices

The Q7 Premium and Premium Plus come standard with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. A six-cylinder turbo is optional on the Premium Plus ($5,100) and standard on the Prestige. Exclusive to the SQ7 is a twin-turbo V8 engine.

Every model comes with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Paddle shifters are included with the six-cylinder and V8 engines.

With the $750 Towing Packing added, four-cylinder models can pull up to 4,500 pounds. Capacity balloons to 7,700 pounds with the six-cylinder or V8 under the hood.

Passenger and Cargo Capacity

The Q7 is a midsize crossover with seating for seven across three rows. With all rows in use, cargo space is limited to 14.2 cubic feet. Folding the third row opens up 35.7 cubic feet. With the second row down as well, the Q7 can hold 69.6 cubic feet, which is on the stingy side of this class. The Q7 is more about luxury and performance than all-out utility.

Safety Features

The Q7 Premium starts with blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, road departure warning, automatic high beams, automatic emergency braking, and front and rear parking sensors. The available Convenience Package ($2,000) includes surround-view cameras, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. These items are standard starting with the Premium Plus. The Prestige also provides a head-up display and an automated parking system.

Connectivity

The standard infotainment system features a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 10 speakers, 4 USB ports, navigation, HD and satellite radio, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wired Android Auto. Wireless device charging is part of the Premium's Convenience Package. It's standard on the Premium Plus and Prestige, which also get a 23-speaker Bang & Olufsen system.

The Q7 piles on the luxury from the start. The standard interior features leather upholstery, wood trim, heated eight-way power front seats with driver memory, ambient lighting, a universal home remote, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and tri-zone automatic climate control. A heated steering wheel is included in the available Convenience Package.

The Premium also gets a panoramic sunroof, power-folding side mirrors, a power liftgate, full LED exterior lighting, roof rails, and 19-inch aluminum wheels. Six-cylinder models receive signature matrix-design LED headlights and leatherette trim on the dashboard, console, and armrests.

2023 Audi Q7 Premium Plus — MSRP From $63,995

The Premium Plus comes with the Premium's options as standard, plus the Bang & Olufsen system. Buyers can spruce up the interior with the $2,000 Executive Package, which adds four-zone climate control, heated rear seats, rear sunshades, leather armrests, multicolor lighting, and ventilated front seats with power lumbar adjustments. The Black Optic Package ($1,750) finishes the exterior with gloss black trim and dark 20-inch wheels (21-inch with six-cylinder).

The V6 is standard on the Prestige, along with the power soft-close doors, 20-inch wheels, and an adaptive air suspension for enhanced ride comfort. The Executive Package is also standard on the Prestige, and Black Optic Package continues as an option.

The $6,850 Luxury Package provides an extended premium leather interior with massaging front seats and a sueded headliner. Laser-enhanced animated headlights with washers can be added for $1,650. On the mechanical front, the Prestige is available with all-wheel steering ($1,500) for greater agility.

Available in Premium Plus or Prestige ($96,190) trim, the SQ7 packs the twin-turbo V8, supported by a sport-tuned air suspension, standard all-wheel steering, and 21-inch wheels.
